"I believe in the power of music to move people, the power of sound and vibration to calm and soothe, and the power of love to heal."
A skilled Facilitator and Guide, my work is informed by years of intensive study and exploration of many spiritual traditions and vibrational healing practices.
As I began my energy work with clients, I discovered the mystery, magic and science of healing with sound. Every session is so different and unique. It never ceases to amaze me!
Working with a wide range of harmonic instruments, I have expanded my ability to help people relax and heal themselves, connecting more deeply with their body, mind, heart and soul. I am grateful every day for the gift of this powerful and beautiful work.
FAQQ: What prompted you to do this work?
A: As part of my own spiritual and healing journey, I was introduced to vibrational medicine and it changed my life. Then, several years ago, I felt called to begin healing with Tibetan Singing Bowls. I had owned and played a few bowls for many years, but just for me. I sent an intention out for a teacher, but none came. Only a book that popped up in my browser one day. And it was fascinating! I started to read and began to play. As I practiced it felt more like re-membering (from a previous life in Tibet) than learning.
Q: How did vibrational medicine change your life?
A: As an Empath and HSP (Highly Sensitive Person), I had always struggled with my own feelings and the energies of others. I had a lot of childhood illnesses and often struggled with anxiety and depression. At a particularly low point in my life, I began what would be a 5-year journey with a wonderful healer who did something called Craniosacral therapy. This is something like Reiki, but works to unblock and ease the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in the body, thereby also improving the flow of energy through the Chakras (energy centres) in the body. This work was amazing for me and, with meditation and yoga, radically reduced my anxiety and depression, while reducing the effects of stress on my body.
Q: What is vibrational medicine?
A: Quantum physics tells us that everything in our universe and beyond is made up of particles that vibrate. The faster a particle vibrates, the higher it's frequency (how many times it vibrates per second). All physical things have a vibrational frequency, as do the things we do not perceive as physical, such as thoughts, feelings, auras, light and sound. Vibrational medicine uses the living energy of plants, crystals, light and sound which, when placed on or close to the body, can alter the vibration of our physical and energetic bodies. This can improve and speed up the healing of physical illness and pain, emotional and cognitive issues, and lead to spiritual growth and insights.
Examples of vibrational medicine are: acupuncture; homeopathy; gem and flower essences; crystal healing; colour, light and laser treatments; healing sound therapies; Reiki and Therapeutic touch. Vibrational medicine, in the hands of an intuitive and compassionate practitioner, is a true mind-body-spirit therapy.
Q: What have you studied?
A: As part of my own spiritual journey, in this life, I have studied and explored a wide range of healing modalities and spiritual practices… Meditation led me to explore and experience Buddhism, Hindu yogic practices, Shamanism, and the early Mystics of Christianity, Judaism, Islam and the East. My own spiritual practices and faith deeply supports who I am now and how I work with others.
Reconnecting to Yoga led me first to experience and then to study Vibrational Medicine – holistic energy and body practices such as Reiki, Shamanic Journeying, Chanting and Mantras, Drumming, Animal and Spirit Guides, Tuning Forks, Crystals and Gemstones, Essential Oils, Floral Essences, and Herbal Medicine. When I am intuitively drawn to do so, I will add to your treatment from any of these healing modalities.
Q: What else do you do?
A: In addition to my work with Sound Healing, I am a Reiki Master, a certified Thanadoula (death midwife) and teacher of meditation and contemplative prayer (contemplativecare.ca).
